Dr. Brusseau's research interests include: (1) Organic-liquid contaminants and multi-phase systems; (2) aqueous and vapor-phase contaminant transport and mass-transfer processes; (3) pore-scale fluid behavior; (4) pathogen and nanoparticle transport; (5) characterization and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination; (6) groundwater quality and water-resource sustainability; (7) implementation of research translation for improving assessment and mitigation of risks posed by contamination to human health and the environment.
