Dr. Hu's Lab measures the function of plants from an individual scale to the watershed or ecosystem scale. This information allows the lab to explore the physiological mechanisms driving patterns of water, carbon, and nutrient transport across space and time. They focus on ecosystems globally with research areas including the Northern Rocky Mountains, the Sky Islands of the Southwest, and the Galapagos Islands.
