David Walker

Assistant Research Scientist, Environmental Science

I have been a principal investigator on several aquatic ecology, ecotoxicology, water quality, and watershed-based projects in Arizona and the arid southwestern US. I have several sponsors including federal and state regulatory agencies. This program is funded entirely through research dollars, relies heavily on a well- established, working relationship with sponsors and collaborators, and has supported several graduate and  undergraduate students.
I have been the PI on projects related to aquatic ecosystem structure and function at many scales. From the entirety of the Colorado River Basin to small urban impoundments and everything in between for many years. The focus of my research is quantifying anthropogenically-derived stressors to aquatic ecosystems including how mixture toxicology affects the physiology and behavior of organisms, including humans.
